Amit Garg, Director of Devoir Technologies, a Chandigarh based startup left his well cushioned job and began to build up his entrepreneurial dream in 2010. It’s been two years since then and the company has crossed several milestones and is going strong. In an exclusive interview with ITBizFocus.com, Garg shares his experience as well as his journey with Devoir Technologies.
What is the inspiration behind Devoir Technologies?
The entrepreneurial dream of mine has been the catalyst in the making of Devoir Technologies. The initial years were very tough but the continuous urge to set up an enterprise inspired me to reach this position. I didn’t take any loan for my business; rather I started to grow with the funds that came in. I have a young dynamic team of professionals as I always believe in youth power. And that helped me make a great progress in a very short time. We have 10 employees between the age group of 18 and 24 years. I believe if you have the aspiration to grow, nothing can be impossible. This acts as a motivation behind my venture.
What challenges did you face and how did you overcome it?
We started the business only with 2 employees and the biggest challenge that we faced was establishing our brand. The ground was already vibrant enough and being new in this field and getting recognition was definitely an issue.
However, we gradually overcame this challenge and gained a much wider recognition. I used my own network and promoted our services and IT facilities that we provide. Like every startup, convincing people about our services was a challenge. In many cases, we even worked free of cost. But looking back, I feel our hard work paid off well. Now we boast of nearly 100 clients and they are all satisfied with our excellent services.
Tell us something about your services.
Devoir Technologies is a web development company. We even offer website design services along with the search engine optimization as well as social media marketing to our clients at an affordable price point. Apart from that we even provide support on iPhone/iPad applications to post implementation. We render customized e-business solutions to our clients combining it with the emerging technologies, ensuring them finest and professional utilization of available resources.
How do you promote your business and services?
We have been successful in offering our services in the UK, US, Australian as well as European market. We use all the internet marketing opportunities to promote Devoir Technologies. Apart from that we have our own website for getting in touch with clients around the globe. The customers can even use the e-commerce section and pay up for their required services. Our site is very user friendly and the easy navigations have made the task much simpler. We even opt for the website optimization process and use all other methods of advertising in order to make our presence feel in this competitive ground.
What kind of business you target?
As already said, we are targeting most the international clients in the UK, US, Australia and Europe. However, Devoir Technologies even supports the initiatives of Indian SMEs. Every small and mid-sized organization needs a website for their promotion and we tend to give them a forward push in this regard.
What is the roadmap of your company in next 3-4 years?
At this point of time, we are catering only to the international market. But in the next 3 to 4 years, we are planning to expand our sales and enter the Indian domain as well. Devoir Technologies is also geared up to provide services to larger enterprises.
