Cisco Boosts SMEs with Mobility, Cloud
Networking giant Cisco Systems recently announced the launch of its wireless access points, switches, routers, switches, unified communications and cloud-based service offerings for Indian SMEs. The new solutions are designed to help SMEs leverage the potentials of smartphones, tablets, cloud applications and services and enhance their growth and productivity.
To promote its service offerings, Cisco will run its “Advantage Now!” a series of road shows in India in May 2012 with the focus on upgrading its partner bases so as to help Indian SME customers boost mobility and cloud capabilities. The show will be organized in 8 cities and reach out to over 500 partners across India and SAARC.
According to a senior official at Cisco India, “Indian SMEs are a very important part of our business and partners are Cisco’s lifeline. The “Advantage Now” road show that is conducted biannually is an effective means to keep our partners up-to-date with our latest and existing technologies. We also help our partners increase profitability.
The networking giant is bullish on the Indian SME market and is geared up to help this burgeoning segment build the right network in a secured and reliable manner. With the adoption of cloud services by SMEs expected to hit 98% by 2015 and Indian small businesses are already showing a keen interest, Cisco is particularly aggressive about pushing mobility and cloud to this segment Cisco in fact sees a great thrust coming from the non-metro segment in India.
Going forward, Cisco will focus on increasing geographical reach, building partner capability and drive business for products, solutions and services specifically for the small businesses in India.
